leave it all behind

Here are a few new pieces I did for a group show I am currently in a moonbean cafe in Kensington. Though they are small and pretty simple I'm quite happy with them. I've always been intrigued by the natural world and our connection to it. Recently I've been exploring the idea of transforming and how we as humans are constantly evolving, falling apart and becoming something new. I think these pieces are begging to be embroidered!

for some reason what you wrote reminded me of Ariel, by Sylvia Plath; 'out of the ashes I rise with my red hair'. Very... phoenix-like, don't you think?
Anyway, I really like these pieces and the organic shapes you used.
